This is the question I was forced to ask google this morning after seeing many friends posting on Facebook about a financial blessing with her photo on the image to share and say Amen. The only information I could find was this interview:
She says:
“I was raised very, very strictly with Christian Science. I didn’t have a shot or an aspirin or anything until I was 13 years old. We had to go to church, do testimonies every Wednesday night. I think all religion is based on what happens after this life. You live a certain way so that when you die, things can be good. But why can’t things be good now? Why can’t you understand that you’re in heaven now? That’s how I live. I believe in God. I think that God is everywhere. Every morning I look outside, and I say, ‘Hi, God.’ Because I think that the trees are God. I think that our whole experience is God.”
The summary suggests she is a very vague Christian since obviously, she believes in God.
First of all, there is no such thing as a vague Christian; you either are or are not. That is the biggest problem in churches today, is in the belief in a sometimes every now and then Christian.
Second of all, there are many different religions, such as Muslims, that profess that there is a God. That in no way makes you a Christian. It’s not the acceptance of God but the acceptance of Christ that makes a Christian.
Summery, she is not a Christian, nor does she believe God the same way we do. According to this interview, her religion is Deism. Which is the belief that God is nature and the things we see and experience.
That would be the same as me painting a picture, and though you don’t know me, you like my painting and assume we’re best friends. The creator is not the creation.
I’m not trying to push anyone down, we cannot help what we do not know. I’m not saying to hate her. Contrary, love her, pray for her. God wishes her to know the truth as well.
